Military Schengen for NATO Forces
Edita
NATO forces should be able to move freely within the alliance, says the head of the Joint Command for Support and Logistics, Alexander Zolfrank. This was reported by Reuters, with information coming from RIA Novosti.
Zolfrank expressed his desire to see a 'military Schengen,' allowing for free movement in a military corridor, according to the agency's material. The general clarified that NATO forces face obstacles in the form of national regulations when transporting personnel and munitions.
He added that it is necessary to prepare in advance for potential 'theaters of military operations' in case of invoking Article 5 of NATO's charter on collective defense.
