Criminal Proceedings Initiated on Two Charges Following Incident at City Council Meeting
Criminal proceedings have been initiated on two charges following an incident during a session of the Yerevan City Council. This was reported to Auroranews by Gor Abrahamyan, the spokesperson for the Investigative Committee.
“We received a report from the police, based on which criminal proceedings have been initiated under Article 297 and Article 195 of the Criminal Code regarding hooliganism committed by a group and physical assault. The investigation is currently underway; the proceedings have just been initiated, and further investigative actions need to be carried out,” noted Abrahamyan.
It is worth mentioning that on November 21, during the regular session of the Yerevan City Council, a disagreement arose between several council members, resulting in mutual physical attacks and the exchange of insults.
