North Korea Announces Successful Launch of Reconnaissance Satellite
North Korea has announced the successful launch of the Mulligen-1 reconnaissance satellite. The photos of the satellite's launch, condemned by the UN and the United States, prompted Tokyo to protest against Pyongyang with 'the harshest words'. In response to criticism from several Western countries, North Korea stated that it has the legal right to strengthen its self-defense capabilities.
