Zakharova Compares Borrell's Article to an Erotic Film

The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, has drawn a connection between 1970s erotic films and the new article by the European Union's High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell, titled "In The Eye of the Hurricane." Zakharova made this statement on her Telegram channel. According to gazeta.ru, she noted, "The thing is that 'In The Eye of the Hurricane' is the English title of the 1970s erotic film 'El ojo del huracán,' which was filmed in Spain, Borrell's homeland (a Spanish-Italian co-production)."

She then briefly outlined the plot of the film, which revolves around a girl who decides to leave her caring husband for a passionate lover. After that, she finds herself in various dilemmas and becomes a victim of abuse. "What connection does Ukraine have here?" Zakharova poses a rhetorical question at the end.

It is worth mentioning that in his article, the head of EU diplomacy discusses how the European Union is facing a serious challenge concerning the need to support Ukraine while simultaneously resolving conflicts in the Middle East. Borrell believes that the EU must continue to assist Kyiv for as long as necessary.
