Snow Cover Height in Mountainous Areas Currently Ranges from 10 to 20 cm: Weather Details

Due to the powerful cyclone penetrating from the west, heavy precipitation was observed across the entire territory of the republic during the day of November 20 and the night of November 21, with some areas receiving the monthly norm of precipitation within a 24-hour period. This was reported by the Hydro-Meteorological and Monitoring Center.

At altitudes of 1500 meters and above, precipitation was observed in the form of snow, and in several regions, it was accompanied by snowfall. Currently, the snow cover height in the mountainous areas of the republic is fluctuating between 10-20 cm. In some parts of Vayots Dzor and Syunik, it is still snowing, but from noon to evening, dry weather will be established across the entire republic, which will last until November 25 inclusive.

Due to the clearing of the weather, tonight the air temperature will decrease by another 4-5 degrees, with temperatures in the Ararat Valley and Yerevan dropping to 0...-2 degrees Celsius. No significant changes in temperature are expected in the coming five days.
