Clarification from the Tourism Committee on the Term "Diaspora Armenian Tourist" in the Law

In the new legislative package on tourism, the term "Diaspora Armenian tourist" is unacceptable. This statement was made by Civil Contract faction MP Tovin Vardanyan during a meeting of the National Assembly's Permanent Committee on Economic Affairs.

"Diaspora Armenian tourist, dual citizen of the Republic of Armenia, migrant worker... I want to understand why these targeted groups have been created. I believe these terms are unacceptable in the law," emphasized the deputy.

The chairman of the Tourism Committee of Armenia, Sisian Poghosyan, clarified that the distinguishing point will be crucial for statistics. "Perhaps we will exclude this from the law as a result of further discussions and interpret it within other strategic projects," he said.
