19th Century Bronze Cannon Stolen from British Royal Family
A 19th-century bronze cannon has been stolen from the collection of the Royal Armories in Great Britain. This was reported by The Independent.
The cannon is believed to have been taken in February 2023, and an investigation is ongoing. It has been determined that the cannon was stolen for the purpose of selling it for metal, as it does not hold collector's value.
In May of last year, the Royal Armories also reported the disappearance of two 19th-century swords. It is clarified that the cannon was stolen during an exhibition held outside the Royal Armouries. The location of the exhibition has not been specified, but the palace stated that all exhibits were returned to the permanent collection after the theft.
