Video: Trucks Exceeding Maximum Allowed Weight Will Be Fined

According to the decision of the Yerevan city hall, starting from November 13, the movement of trucks with a permissible maximum weight exceeding 2.5 tons will be prohibited in the center of the capital, in the area between Khanjyan and Saryan streets and from Grigor Lusavorich to Koryun streets.

The restriction is in effect from 7 AM to 9 PM. The purpose of this measure is to alleviate traffic congestion on more than 40 streets and avenues in the city center. Relevant road signs prohibiting truck movement have already been installed in the streets of the capital.

Starting from November 20, the patrol service will implement administrative enforcement measures. For more details, watch the video.
