Clarification on Current Gasoline Prices in Armenia: CPC
As a result of a study conducted by the Competition Protection Commission (CPC), it has been revealed that there has been an increase in gasoline prices in international markets. This was reported by the CPC.
The Commission notes that taking into account the logistics costs and taxes for operators in Armenia, the current gasoline prices reflect the objective reality in the country.
Regarding the question of why gasoline prices in Armenia are higher compared to other EAEU member states, it is essential to consider that those countries, which have their own oil reserves, implement mechanisms for subsidizing the domestic market.
At the same time, the Commission is in constant communication with operators, receiving timely information from them. It should be noted that alongside the price increases, operators have reduced their profit margins in order to mitigate the rise in prices as much as possible under the current conditions.
