Court Rules on Trump's Participation in Presidential Elections

The Michigan state court has decided that former U.S. President Donald Trump, who intends to run in the 2024 presidential elections, will remain on the state’s primary ballot, according to the Associated Press.

It was noted that Judge James Redford rejected arguments suggesting that Trump’s involvement in the January 2021 Capitol riot meant the court should bar him from running for president.

Previously, the Minnesota Supreme Court had also allowed Trump to participate in elections in that state. Another hearing on the same issue will take place in Colorado.
