Will Putin Be Nominated for the Elections? Peskov Comments

“Putin has not yet made any decision regarding his nomination for the 2024 presidential elections,” said Dmitry Peskov, the spokesman for the Russian President, while commenting on press reports regarding the formation of an initiative group to nominate Putin and his possible self-nomination for the 2024 elections.

“It is clear that the time for announcing the elections is approaching, but no decisions have been made so far,” Peskov stated.

It should be recalled that earlier, media reported that the Kremlin is considering options for the composition of the initiative group to nominate Vladimir Putin for the presidency. The formation of this initiative group suggests that Putin is likely to participate in the elections as a self-nominated candidate.
