Clashes Erupt in London Ahead of Pro-Palestinian Rally

Clashes have occurred between right-wing activists and the police in central London, near the Cenotaph war memorial, ahead of a large pro-Palestinian demonstration and on Remembrance Day. This was reported by Sky News.

"The clashes took place when right-wing activists attempted to reach London’s Cenotaph," the broadcaster stated.

A large crowd, waving flags with the St. George's cross and chanting slogans in support of England, tried to reach the governmental Whitehall street, but police blocked their way. Following that, clashes began, with activists throwing bottles at the police while trying to break through the barricade. Law enforcement officials were compelled to use batons.

The incident occurred just before the two minutes of silence marking the remembrance of soldiers who died in conflicts, although everyone remained silent during the memorial ceremony. Afterward, the police were able to disperse the crowd.
