«We Saw That He Hosted a Representative of the State Department»: Russia on Grigoryan's Absence from the Security Council Meeting
Armenia participated in the CIS Security Council Secretaries meeting despite the absence of Armen Grigoryan.
During a briefing, Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, stated that Armenia's Security Council Secretary Armen Grigoryan initially planned to attend the CIS Security Council meeting but later declined due to a scheduling change.
“Later, we saw that he was hosting the Senior Advisor to the State Department for South Caucasus affairs in Yerevan. At the same time, Armenia was represented at the Security Council meeting by the Armenian Ambassador to Russia and, overall, participated in the session,” Zakharova noted.
She emphasized that the level of participation is determined by the state itself.
It should be recalled that on November 8, a regular meeting of the Security Council Secretaries of the CIS member countries took place in Moscow, and the day before, it became known that Armen Grigoryan would not participate in the meeting.
