Tigran Khachatryan, son of Surik Khachatryan, has been found: SSC
Tigran Khachatryan, who was wanted for hooliganism involving the use of firearms and causing minor bodily harm to an individual, has been located in the city of Goris. This information has been confirmed by the Investigative Committee of Armenia.
On June 22, 2023, the Investigative Committee reported that a public criminal prosecution had been initiated against T. Khachatryan under Article 335, Part 1, Article 171, Part 2, Clause 7 and Article 297, Part 3 of the RA Criminal Code.
He is accused of, on June 19, 2023, around 20:30, driving his 'Mercedes-Benz' vehicle to an automotive service station in Goris along with two acquaintances to clarify the situation arising from a phone conversation regarding the purchase of tires.
During the clarification process with a 46-year-old individual engaged in tire sales, taking advantage of a minor reason, he provocatively emphasized his personal superiority and displayed hooligan behavior, provoking an argument with the employees of the automotive service station and using sexual insults towards them.
Subsequently, blatantly ignoring the rules of civility and disturbing the peace of citizens nearby, he fired gunshots at the 46-year-old man with the illegal firearm he possessed, causing bodily injury characterized by minor health damage, and left the scene, abandoning the area of Goris.
A motion was submitted to the court to choose pre-trial detention as a measure of restraint against T. Khachatryan, which was granted. The police were instructed to locate him and present him to the investigative body.
As a result of investigative, procedural, and operational-search measures that utilized collected data, T. Khachatryan was found on November 8, 2023, during a search conducted based on a court decision, at his private residence in Yerevan. He was arrested and presented to the investigating authority.
