The Situation is Very Concerning: Andreasian on the State Institute of Physical Culture and Sports

The situation at the State Institute of Physical Culture and Sports is very concerning for us. This was stated by Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Zhanna Andreasian during the government's press briefings.

Referring to the issue of students raising their voices in protest and demanding a meeting with the minister, she noted that the deputy minister Karen Giloian subsequently met with the students. She explained that Karen Giloian is the chairman of the university’s board of trustees and that he met with the students primarily in that capacity.

"According to my information, a meeting of the board of trustees is also scheduled to take place in the near future to discuss the situation that has arisen," the minister stated, adding that the issue falls entirely within the jurisdiction of the board of trustees.

It is worth recalling that earlier, students of the State Institute of Physical Culture and Sports held a strike. They are protesting against the behavior of rector David Khitaryan, stating that there are several injustices within the institution.
