Causes of Traffic Jam in Yerevan: Situation on Saralanj Street

Since early morning, Auroranews has been receiving reports about a traffic jam near Saralanj Street and the "Bellagio" restaurant in Yerevan, where the tunnel area is blocked from both sides with a red tape set up by the police.

To understand the reasons behind the traffic jam and the closure of the tunnel, Auroranews contacted the police, who informed us, “Construction works are being carried out by the Yerevan City Hall, which is why the police have closed this section to ensure the safety of drivers and construction workers.”

For further clarification, Auroranews also reached out to a representative from the Yerevan City Hall. They provided us with a diagram of the area in question. During our conversation, they stated that due to renovation works on the deformation joints, the section from the Saralanj Street - Armenakyan Street intersection to the connecting road to Heratsy Street will be closed from November 10 to November 13 until 06:00 AM. Additionally, the tunnel connecting Myasnikyan Avenue to Saralanj Street will also be closed.
