An American lawyer has shot two eco-activists who blocked a highway in Panama in protest. International media reports that when the protesters obstructed the lawyer's vehicle from passing, he exited the car and opened fire on them with a firearm, resulting in one of the victims dying at the scene, while the second succumbed in the hospital.

The publication notes that the court has already decided to arrest the man. He has been charged with murder and illegal possession of firearms.
