US Policy is a Bubble that has Burst, Showering Blood on Everyone: Zakharova

The statements made by representatives of the United States, which justify the deaths of thousands of children due to the escalation of the situation in the Middle East, require historical recording, stated Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. This information was reported by TASS.

According to her, Washington has permanently lost the right to speak on human rights issues.

“Those monstrous words, statements that American representatives are allowed to make, justifying the deaths of thousands of children, need not further commentary but simply historical recording of the moment. These statements discredit the United States more than any commentary would. Sometimes, the ringing silence that follows the next instance of disgrace has a greater impact than any attempt to comment on it—even if successful,” the diplomat said during a broadcast on Sputnik Radio.

Zakharova noted that the US is unable to call things by their names. “The fact that the US has not found the strength to call things by their names throughout this entire time, I think, fundamentally forever— not for one year, not for five—has killed their ability to speak on any human rights issues. Not just on global or large-scale issues, but on any issues at all, be it public protests in certain countries, rallies, all that they usually entered into—domestic legislation, changes in state structures, democratic processes, elections, regional agendas, internal agendas in various countries,” said the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry.

“Everyone, from the smallest to the largest, no longer has the right to comment, make statements, condemn, or inspire. They have closed this topic themselves for as long as they do not acknowledge the horrifying nature of the statements they have made literally in defense of the killing of civilians, especially children,” she emphasized.

According to Zakharova, the United States allows such rhetoric because “otherwise it would have to concede that their entire policy in the region is yet another soap bubble that has burst, showering blood on everyone around.”
