Ukraine Will Attempt to Show Results on the Battlefield by Year-End: Zelensky
Ukrainian soldiers will continue to fight for results on the battlefield this year. This was stated by President Volodymyr Zelensky in a video address at the Reuters NEXT conference held in New York.
“This year we will try to show results. And this is very important for us, as we are losing people every day...” said the country's leader. According to him, Russia's losses in the war to date exceed those of Ukraine by five times.
Admitting the slow progress on the southern front, Zelensky also stated that Ukraine has a specific combat plan for 2024, although he did not disclose its details.
“We have a plan. We have very specific cities, very specific directions that we are moving towards... I am confident that we are expecting success,” Zelensky added, discussing the situation on the front.
During his speech, the Ukrainian president also reiterated that Kyiv is ready to start looking for options to end the conflict only after Russia withdraws its troops from Ukrainian territory.
