Peskov Comments on the Use of Nuclear Weapons
The press secretary of the Russian president, Dmitry Peskov, commented on the words of Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev regarding the increased risks of using nuclear, chemical, and biological weapons due to the West's unconstructive policies. The information was reported by gazeta.ru.
Peskov noted that the Security Council is part of the Kremlin, so Patrushev's comments can be regarded as a statement from the authorities. He stated, 'The rather aggressive nature of the collective West towards Russia is no secret to anyone. This is confirmed by the statements from the West. We have a doctrine where everything is clearly outlined; there are no changes. Everything here is very clear,' concluded Peskov.
Previously, Patrushev had claimed that for the first time in the entire existence of nuclear missile weapons, Russia has surpassed its competitors in the field of nuclear arms. According to him, the implementation of Russia's national security strategy has contributed to maintaining internal stability within society. Patrushev also noted that the country has managed to increase its economic, political, and military potential.
