Radio Host Murdered During Live Broadcast

Radio host Juan Jumalon, also known by his nickname Johnny Walker, was murdered at his home while broadcasting live. He was on air from his home studio in the Philippines.

The assailant entered the radio host's house and forced him off the air, stating that the host wanted to make an 'important announcement.' The assailant then shot Jumalon and left his home.

The host's wife took him to the hospital, but it was already too late; the man had died.

Philippine authorities have announced the start of an investigation and released a sketch of the suspect, who is reported to be a man over 40 years old. The perpetrator fled the scene on a motorcycle. Local media report that police have no information regarding any threats made against the radio host.
