Russia Will Not Sign Agreement with Armenia to Circumvent Rome Statute Requirements, Says Russian Senator
Russia will not sign an agreement with Armenia that would allow Yerevan to circumvent the requirements of the International Criminal Court’s Rome Statute. This statement was made by Russian Senator Vladimir Dzhabarov, according to Infoteka24.
Earlier, the Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly, Hakob Arshakyan, had reported that against the backdrop of the ratification of the Rome Statute, Armenia proposed through diplomatic channels to Russia to sign a bilateral intergovernmental agreement that would exclude the application of international court decisions on issues concerning the two countries.
Arshakyan also added that Yerevan has signed a similar agreement with Washington.
