“I am in good spirits, the main thing is that I am alive,” said Alexey Poltoranin, a military correspondent for Izvestia, who was injured in Donetsk. He is currently in the intensive care unit.

The journalist had a fragment removed from his stomach, and he also suffered fractures in his leg and arm.

Previously, it was reported that Poltoranin's condition was relatively serious, while two other journalists were reported to be in moderate condition. Their lives are not in danger.

It is worth noting that the Izvestia film crew came under Ukrainian fire in Donetsk.
