Messi Wins His 8th Ballon d'Or

Lionel Messi, the 36-year-old forward of the Argentina national team and American club Inter Miami, has been awarded his 8th Ballon d'Or. The prestigious title for the best player of the year was presented to the Argentine by former England international and co-owner of Inter Miami, David Beckham.

Competing for the honorary award were also Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappé.

It is worth noting that in the previous season, the legendary footballer won the World Cup with the Argentina national team and became the champion of France with PSG.
