From November 1, the '40,000 + 10,000 Dram Social Support' Program Will Be Offered Under New Conditions
A portion of citizens who were forcibly displaced from Artsakh and relocated to the Republic of Armenia will no longer qualify for the '40,000 + 10,000' social support program starting November 1.
“From November 1, this program will be provided under new conditions. Starting next month, all those whose residence is secured or continues to be secured through state resources will not be beneficiaries. In particular, support will no longer apply to individuals staying in social protection institutions or in areas owned by the state or community, such as hotels,” said Anna Jamakochyan, Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Affairs of Armenia.
Those who continue to benefit from the program starting in November will need to fill out a one-time online application, providing personal information, personal data of other residents at the same address, residence address, email, mobile phone number, as well as the electricity subscription number. For minors, it will also be necessary to attach copies of the child’s birth certificate or documents confirming guardianship.
Jamakochyan emphasized that if the application is rejected, it will be necessary to fill out a new one for the next time as well.
Zara Manucharyan, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, also highlighted that within a week, 73,196 citizens have benefited from the '40,000 + 10,000 Dram Social Support' program, of which 69,199 received the full amount of 40,000 + 10,000 drams, while 3,997 citizens received only the 10,000 dram assistance.
She also noted that the circle of beneficiaries receiving social support has expanded. “From now on, citizens who entered Armenia due to the closure of the Lachin corridor and came here with the assistance of the International Committee of the Red Cross will also be able to benefit from the one-time support program of 100,000 drams,” said Manucharyan, indicating that they had previously only benefited from the '40,000 + 10,000 Dram Social Support' program.
It should be recalled that on October 30, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced that around 100,000 citizens have already received the one-time support of 100,000 drams, more than 25,000 of whom are children. A total of 41,610 citizens benefited from the housing rental support of 40,000 drams and the utility expense support of 10,000 drams. Additionally, 2,700 citizens were paid only the 10,000 drams designated for utility expenses, as they have housing in Armenia.
