Azerbaijan’s Deputy Defense Minister Meets Chief of Staff of Italian Armed Forces

In Baku, a meeting took place between the First Deputy Minister of Defense of Azerbaijan, Kerim Veliev, and the Chief of Staff of the Italian Armed Forces, Giuseppe Cavoy.

Azerbaijani media outlets, citing a statement from the country’s Ministry of Defense, report that Veliev presented the consequences of the military operations conducted by Azerbaijani forces against Nagorno-Karabakh on September 19 to the Italian delegation.

It was noted that the parties also discussed the reforms taking place within Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Defense, as well as the need to expand military cooperation between Italy and Azerbaijan.
