We Are Ready for That from a Military Perspective: Israeli Ambassador in Russia

Israel is prepared to expand the conflict amid the escalation of Palestinian-Israeli relations, but the country has no interest in such a scenario, stated Alexander Ben Tsvi, the Israeli ambassador to Russia. This was reported by RIA Novosti.

"We do not bomb Lebanon and Syria on our initiative. Hezbollah, Shia groups in Syria, and others start shelling our territory, seemingly to assist Hamas. We are ready for that, meaning we are prepared from a military perspective, but we have no interest in expanding this conflict," the ambassador said during an interview on the Rossiya 24 television channel.

The Israeli ambassador also added that the only one interested in such an escalation is Iran, which finances, trains, and arms all these groups. Moreover, according to the ambassador, Israel has no interest in the territory of either Lebanon or Syria.

In his remarks, the Israeli ambassador in Russia also addressed the absence of direct negotiations with Hamas.

"There are no direct negotiations between Israel and Hamas. And there cannot be, as our position is very clear: all hostages must be released without any conditions. Unfortunately, we have no information about what is happening to them. We do not even know who among them is alive," Alexander Ben Tsvi noted in the interview.
