U.S. Military Base Attacked in Syria

The American military base near the Koniko gas field in Syria's Deir ez-Zor province has come under fire from multiple rocket systems. According to Al Mayadeen, several powerful explosions occurred in the area, with thick plumes of smoke rising from the impact sites.

The attack has been claimed by the 'Islamic Resistance in Iraq' movement, which includes fighters from Shia armed groups fighting against the terrorist organization Islamic State.

Previously, U.S. military forces and equipment were relocated to this base from neighboring Iraq.
