Sergey Smbatyan Acquitted

The maestro Sergey Smbatyan has been acquitted. This was reported by lawyer Yervand Varosyan on his Facebook page.

“The criminal prosecution against Sergey Smbatyan has been terminated by the decision of the prosecutor of the Republic of Armenia on the grounds that the act attributed to him was not committed by him,” he wrote.

It is noteworthy that the artistic director of the State Symphony Orchestra had been charged with large-scale fraud.
