Video: Oil Tank Catches Fire at LUKOIL Plant in Russia – Details

An oil tank has caught fire at the LUKOIL plant in the Komi region of Russia. According to preliminary reports, one person has been injured. Local news sources indicate that the incident occurred at the LUKOIL-Usinskneftegaz facility located in the village of Vozey.

The response to the fire involved 51 personnel and 18 units of special equipment, as reported by the press service of the republic's Ministry of Emergency Situations.

It has been clarified that the fire started at 11:30 Moscow time. Ekaterina Kiseleva, the head of the Komi ministry of natural resources, announced on her Telegram channel that the fire was preceded by an explosion.

She later reported that the tank that caught fire was empty, posing no risk of leakage or contamination. It is presumed that the explosion was caused by residual gases.
