Nearly 10,000 Residents Mobilized to Israeli Army from the U.S.
Nearly 10,000 people have been mobilized to the Israeli army from the U.S., according to the Washington Post, citing an unnamed Israeli diplomat. This information was relayed by RIA Novosti.
"Approximately 10,000 people living in the U.S. have enlisted in the Israeli army after receiving military service notification letters," the publication reports, adding that among those mobilized are citizens connected to Israel, as well as Israelis, students, and workers in the United States.
Since the escalation of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, Israel has called up 300,000 reservists.
Iran's Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian has also announced that Tehran will respond to the U.S. with "unforgiving fire" in the event of civilian Palestinian casualties. Amir-Abdollahian believes that the U.S. is not only providing military and political support to Israel but is also directing military operations in the region. According to Iran's Foreign Ministry, Washington is interested in escalating conflict in the Middle East.
