Hamas Appeals for Assistance

The leader of the political bureau of the Palestinian Hamas movement, Ismail Haniyeh, has stated that the continuation of aggression against the Gaza Strip will push the entire region out of control. He has called on Arab and Islamic countries to support the movement with weapons and finances.

According to kommersant.ru, Haniyeh said, "Resistance in Gaza continues. I call upon the peoples of Arab and Islamic nations and all free people of the world to support this resistance and revolution with money and arms."

He also urged the opening of control points at the border with Gaza and to send whatever is necessary without restrictions or conditions. Specifically, he insists on restoring the supply of electricity and water.

"I call upon all presidents, leaders, ideological leaders, and opinion makers to clearly and unequivocally reaffirm the legitimacy of Palestinian resistance, as well as the legitimacy of Hamas," he added.
