Zakhrova: Issues Related to Agrément Not Commented on in the Media

Zakhrova did not comment on the reports regarding the nomination of Gurgen Arsenyan, a member of the NA Civil Contract faction, for the position of Ambassador of Armenia to the RF and the rejection of the agrément in response to a journalist's question. Zakhrova stated that the issue of ambassadorial appointments is purely an internal bilateral matter.

“The agrément is a preliminary agreement, which is either given or not by the party and is determined secretly for each representative candidate,” Zakhrova added, emphasizing that issues related to agrément are not commented on in the media.

Earlier, Gurgen Arsenyan had confirmed that he was offered the position of ambassador to the RF and that his documents are already in the Russian Federation, but he has not yet received a response.
