Representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) have met with the former presidents and officials of Artsakh who were abducted by Azerbaijan and are currently held in detention in Baku. This was stated by Zara Amatuni, a representative of the ICRC office in Armenia, in an interview with Auroranews.
On October 20, the ICRC representatives visited the former presidents of Artsakh Arkadi Ghukasyan, Bako Sahakyan, Arayik Harutyunyan, former Prime Minister Ruben Vardanyan, former National Assembly Chairman David Ishkhanyan, former Foreign Minister David Babayan, Generals David Manukyan and Levon Mnatsakanyan, among other officials.
“We have visited other individuals who were arrested prior and whose names have been mentioned, and we met them again in October, providing them the opportunity to maintain contact with their families,” Amatuni said.
