Kyiv Losing Media Attention and Allies' Support: New York Times

Ukraine has been "pushed to the background" amid the Palestine-Israel conflict, with Kyiv losing media attention and support from allies, reports the American New York Times, as conveyed by RIA Novosti.

“First and foremost, events in Gaza are distracting the attention of Western politicians and the public from the war in Ukraine. Concerns that Western societies are starting to feel ‘Ukraine fatigue’ are quite real and will continue to grow until October 7,” the publication states.

Furthermore, the New York Times points out that Ukraine not only lacks media attention but also ammunition. The publication notes that despite U.S. President Joe Biden's promises to support both Kyiv and Tel Aviv, Israel may ultimately need the weapons that are currently depleting near Ukraine.

“The war in Ukraine has been pushed to the background, U.S.-led diplomacy in the Middle East is confused, and the West and others are looking at each other, standing on the edge of mutual misunderstanding,” the article states.
