ICRC Reports Transfer of Bodies from Artsakh to Armenia

Since September 19, ICRC employees have assisted in the transfer of 220 bodies from Artsakh to Armenia. This information was reported by the Armenian office of the International Committee of the Red Cross.

“Identifying the victims poses a significant challenge at this moment. Our forensic experts continue to work to ensure dignified treatment of the remains of those who perished in last month's tragic fuel depot explosion. Since the escalation of hostilities on September 19, our staff have assisted in transferring 220 bodies to Armenia, including those of the victims from the fuel depot explosion,” the statement read.
