What Does Australia's New Military Aid Package for Ukraine Include?
The Australian government is providing Ukraine with a new military aid package worth 12 million USD. This was announced today by Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese on his X microblog. The information is reported by mnews.world.
“Today we announced that Australia will provide Ukraine with an additional 20 million Australian dollars (12 million USD) in defense assistance in the form of locally produced innovative industrial equipment,” he stated.
The Canberra Times reports that the new aid package will include mine clearance equipment, portable X-ray machines, a 3D printer for metal, and counter-drone systems developed by Australian companies DroneShield, Micro-X, Minelab, and SPEE3D. The government will also send an E-7A Wedgetail aircraft of the Royal Australian Air Force to Germany to support Ukraine's international humanitarian and military aid efforts.
