Blinken on Conditions for US Use of Force Against Iran
During a United Nations Security Council meeting dedicated to the escalating situation in the Middle East, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken stated that the United States is prepared to act "swiftly and decisively" against Iran if necessary. TASS reports.
“The United States does not seek conflict with Iran; we do not want this war to escalate. However, if Iran or those it acts through attack US personnel anywhere, we will defend our people, we will defend our security swiftly and decisively. Do not make a mistake on this issue,” said Blinken.
Earlier, the US warned Iran through intermediaries about the possibility of using force in the Middle East if the Hezbollah movement intervenes in the Palestine-Israel conflict.
