We Welcome Any Commitment That Contributes to Peace in the South Caucasus, State Department
Regarding the Armenian-Azerbaijani issue, we welcome any genuine commitment that will promote peace and stability in the South Caucasus, regardless of where those negotiations are taking place or who is conducting them.
This was stated by Matthew Miller, spokesperson for the U.S. State Department, during a briefing, commenting on the '3+3' format meeting held in Iran.
“However, we also recognize the sensitive geographical position of the South Caucasus with respect to Iran and Russia, and we have not found reliable partners in those countries,” he added.
