Israel Explains Why Fuel Won't Be Sent to Gaza Strip
Israel will not grant permission to transport fuel to the Gaza Strip due to concerns that Hamas will "steal" it. This was stated by Israeli Prime Minister's senior adviser Mark Regev. The information was reported by RIA Novosti.
He noted that Israel would not grant permission even if all Hamas hostages were released. "Currently, we are not interested in allowing more fuel to enter the Hamas military apparatus, and we have not given permission for fuel transportation. We have allowed for the transfer of medicine, water, and food; nothing else has been permitted. The government’s decision is that fuel is not being transferred because it could be stolen by Hamas and used to power the rockets aimed at killing our people," Regev stated.
