Turkey Expels Hamas Political Bureau Chief, Media Reports
Turkey has expelled the Hamas political bureau chief who was located in Istanbul as militants launched an attack on Israel, AL-Monitor reported, citing unnamed sources.
Ismail Haniyeh and his entourage were asked to leave the country after footage circulated on social media showing him and other Hamas members offering a "thanksgiving prayer" while watching the broadcast of the October 7 incursion, the sources indicated. Haniyeh is currently living in voluntary exile in Qatar and Turkey.
