Road Fees Between Armenia and Iran to be Eliminated, Says Iranian Minister of Roads and Urban Development
The road fees between Armenia and Iran will be eliminated. This announcement was made by the Iranian Minister of Roads and Urban Development, Mehrdad Bazrpash, at the opening ceremony of the signing of the investment document for the North-South corridor.
He stated that Armenia and Iran have reached such an agreement within the context of the development of the North-South corridor. “The countries located along the North-South route are interested not only in the timely implementation of this road but also in promoting cooperation among the countries along the length of the road. We must seize this opportunity and take swift action towards the development of the North-South corridor. A very good agreement has been reached to eliminate road fees between the two countries,” added Bazrpash.
According to the minister, this is very important for individuals and businesses engaged in economic activities between the two countries, as they will be able to send goods to each other's markets and to third countries at a lower cost.
