In Which Sectors the North-South Road Can Provide Additional Incentives, Notes Sanosyan

The "Road Department" foundation has signed a contract with the joint venture of "Abad Rahaan Pars International Group" and "Tunnel Sad Ariana" within the framework of the 4th tranche of the investment program for the North-South transportation corridor, covering the renovation of the road from Agarak to Vardanidzor and the construction of the road from Vardanidzor to the tunnel exit.

During the opening ceremony of the signing of the project documents, the Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of Armenia, Gnel Sanosyan, announced that the North-South road is reaching the south.

“Today, we are all together inaugurating the construction of the southern section of the North-South road. And as we sometimes mention in our discussions, after several phases of complexity, the North-South road is finally reaching the south as well,” stated Sanosyan.

Sanosyan added that the Armenian and Iranian peoples have centuries of friendly relations, and in this context, bilateral economic and infrastructure cooperation is also important.

“The launch of this project is not only a great opportunity to highlight the high level of cooperation between us but can also serve as an additional impetus for deepening our collaboration in road construction, school construction, dam construction, and various infrastructure projects by involving Iranian companies,” the Minister emphasized.
