Kyiv Receives Another Financial Assistance Tranche from the EU
Ukraine has received its 9th tranche of macro-financial assistance from the European Union, amounting to €1.5 billion. This was announced by Ukraine's Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal on his Telegram channel.
He emphasized that the budget support from the EU has totaled €15 billion during the current year. According to the Prime Minister, this factor is one of the most important and helps the country to "be economically strong and stable."
"We are now working jointly with the European Commission on the new long-term program, Ukraine Facility, with a total volume of €50 billion. We expect to receive €18 billion from this next year," wrote Shmyhal.
Earlier, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen announced that the EU has allocated €90 billion to Ukraine since 2022.
