Iran Opposes the 'Zangezur Corridor', Says Iranian Minister of Roads and Urban Development
Iran is opposed to the 'Zangezur Corridor' and has expressed this disagreement during meetings with various Azerbaijani officials, stated Iranian Minister of Roads and Urban Development Mehrdad Bazrpash during a press conference in Yerevan today.
"We have repeatedly mentioned that we do not agree with the Zangezur Corridor, and we have communicated this during meetings with various Azerbaijani officials. Our policy is based on peace in the Caucasus, and we condemn any form of external interference. We believe that the countries in the region can make the best decisions for themselves. We have always supported the territorial integrity of Armenia and will continue to do so. The infrastructure created between the two countries is specifically aimed at establishing stable peace among neighboring countries," the minister emphasized.
