There is no humanitarian crisis in Gaza, says IDF
An Israeli security service representative has assured that there is currently no humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip, as military forces continue to instruct Palestinians to move south, reported the Times of Israel.
According to the Israel Defense Forces, in recent days nearly 700,000 people have been evacuated from the northern part of Gaza, which has a population of 1.1 million.
"At this moment, I can say that there is no humanitarian crisis in Gaza. There are difficulties related to people's movement southward, but the population is coping," the official told reporters.
"There is no shortage of water in Gaza, food will be sufficient for the coming weeks, and besides that, regarding the supply of medicines, there is no shortage, as far as we know, in hospitals," he added.
According to him, Hamas is still trying to obstruct people's movement to the south.
