Yerevan Receives Invitation from Tehran for Foreign Ministers Meeting in '3+3' Format
Official Yerevan has received an invitation from Tehran for a meeting of foreign ministers in the '3+3' format.
While Azerbaijani sources claimed yesterday that Armenia had already given its consent, Deputy Foreign Minister Vahan Kostanyan stated today to reporters that Yerevan has not yet responded and the issue is under discussion.
Earlier, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, during his meeting with Armenia’s Secretary of the Security Council Armen Grigoryan, mentioned that the '3+3' platform is an effective format for addressing regional issues.
Subsequently, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev also announced that meetings in the '3+3' format will take place in the near future. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has also stated that Yerevan is ready for meetings in this format.
