Tensions Rise: Russian Foreign Ministry Advises Citizens

The situation in the Middle East is escalating. Shelling of Israeli territories, missile and bomb strikes in northern Gaza and other areas, as well as armed incidents between Lebanon and Israel along the 'Blue Line' continue. The number of casualties and injuries is rising. Mass protests are taking place around the world. This has been reported by the Russian Ministry of Defense.

In this context, we strongly advise citizens of the Russian Federation to refrain from traveling to the region, especially to Israel, Lebanon, Jordan, and the Palestinian territories. When traveling to these countries, exercise maximum caution and enhanced personal safety measures, avoid conflict and high-risk areas, and follow the advice of local authorities as well as the announcements from Russian diplomatic missions.

Close cooperation with the authorities of Egypt and Israel continues to ensure the exit of Russian citizens who have sought assistance in evacuation from Gaza. We are constantly monitoring the situation regarding air traffic in the region. Opportunities for regular airline flights from Israel, Lebanon, Jordan, and other countries remain available. Thus, since October 9, approximately 6,000 people have arrived in Russia from Tel Aviv.
