Samvel Aleksanyan Faces Unpleasant Situation: 'Hraparak'

The newspaper 'Hraparak' reports that businessman Samvel Aleksanyan has found himself in quite an unpleasant situation. It turns out he has been exporting Samsung brand mobile phones from Armenia to Russia for a considerable time. Clearly, this refers to parallel exports.

However, the issue is that the chargers for these phones have been placed on a list of specially prohibited products, and European organizations are closely monitoring to ensure they are not exported to Russia. These items are included in the list of dual-use goods established by Armenian state bodies, and their export could trigger sanctions against Armenia.

For some time, Samvel Aleksanyan's company has been trying to circumvent this ban, utilizing connections within the tax service, but has been denied. He was advised to negotiate with the leadership of Samsung and propose that the chargers included in the batch of phones imported to Armenia be packaged within the actual product boxes, as they are typically sold separately. The astute businessman managed to persuade the manufacturer, but he received another rejection from the government, which stated that the plan was risky and that the West would be aware and upset.
