‘Azerbaijan Must First Confirm Participation in Brussels Meeting’ – Deputy Minister

‘For a specific date to be set for the Brussels meeting, I believe it is necessary for the Azerbaijani side to first confirm its participation,’ stated Armenia's Deputy Foreign Minister Vahan Kostanyan.

In response to a question regarding which proposals of the peace agreement Azerbaijan disagrees with, he said, ‘I suppose it would be appropriate to wait for Azerbaijan's response to the benchmarks outlined in the Granada statement, after which we can discuss the prospects of the overall settlement process.’

Kostanyan also noted that the constant changes in formats raise serious doubts about whether Baku is genuinely interested in completing the peace process or is simply trying to transition from one format to another, thereby avoiding concrete agreements.
